About

Rhiona brings extensive expertise across both the private and public sectors, with a focus on master planning, placemaking, policy, mixed-use and specialist residential projects, community assets, and stakeholder engagement. As a strategic designer, she has worked with diverse stakeholders to unlock commercial, social, and sustainable value, delivering innovative solutions that drive growth and enhance the wellbeing of communities and places.

She led engagement for the award-winning Nourish Hub in Hammersmith and Fulham. An experienced architect, Rhiona's portfolio includes co-designing community land trust projects, partnering with charities on mixed-use residential and community spaces, and contributing to Design Codes and SPDs for Lewisham, Isle of Wight, and Brent Council. She also led the redevelopment of community and cultural assets, including the Tropicana project in Weston-super-Mare for North Somerset Council.

Bristol City Council

Rhiona joined Bristol City Council’s City Centre Regeneration Team as Project Manager, leading the planning application and design development for Castle Park. Her role has focused on developing the endorsed strategic vision outlined in the City Centre Development and Delivery Plan into a phased and deliverable project. She is coordinating a multidisciplinary consultant team and shaping the delivery, phasing and funding approach to support future investment. Rhiona has worked across council teams to align the park’s transformation with wider city centre regeneration and supported the development of an inclusive engagement strategy. Her work has built on the DDP, positioning Castle Park as a key city asset,  responding to long-term growth and climate resilience, while unlocking opportunities for improved accessibility, biodiversity and cultural activation.
