Design Review Panel Members and Chairs

The London Borough of Merton are seeking applications from built environment professionals for the following:

• Panel members able to commit to attending six to eight meetings per year
• Panel chairs able to commit to attending upwards of eight meetings per year (with three positions available on a rotational basis)

The London Borough of Merton are currently seeking experienced built-environment professionals to join their Design Review Panel and play an important role in the delivery of high-quality design across Merton.

Running since 2007, the panel has undertaken over 300 reviews on over 200 sites. Over 100 reviewed sites have been completed (with others on-site) totalling over 3,000 new homes built.

This is the first full refresh of Merton's Design Review Panel and part of an update to its operation, which includes introducing payment for Members' work.

• Panel members are paid £345 per day
• Panel chairs are paid £575 per day

Design Review Panel meetings are held mostly by Teams, though some visits to Merton Civic Centre in Morden and application sites within Merton may be required.
