About
Francesca is a Principal Urban Designer with experience across the disciplines of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture with a proven track record in transforming communities through innovative placemaking, town centre regeneration, and public realm design. Francesca has delivered many placemaking plans and led major public realm regeneration projects. Her delivered projects are underpinned by extensive community and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that the community’s ambitions and aspirations for a place are reflected within the set vision and ambitions.
She has developed expertise in meanwhile place strategies which she implements to create agile design solutions and empower communities in creating dynamic, people-centred spaces.
Always part of multidisciplinary teams, Francesca developed a holistic design approach that responds sensitively to the social, environmental, and economic context of a place, ensuring the delivery of resilient and successful communities and places.
Autumn Cohort 2024
Bristol City Council
During her placement with Bristol City Council, Francesca supported the City Centre and Regeneration team across a range of projects. Her work included research, spatial analysis, and preparation of planning and design materials. She helped coordinate stakeholder engagement and contributed to strategic place-making initiatives. Francesca’s work supported project delivery and strengthened the council’s capacity to progress regeneration priorities.
