About
Nisa is an architect with a passion for urban research and planning. She completed her master's in City Design and Social Sciences at LSE where she focused on urban migration and ephemeral urbanism.
As an urban enthusiast, she is interested in understanding the impact of strategic planning within urban environments. She has experience working on large-scale projects related to placemaking, blue-green infrastructure and urban regeneration in the UK and India. As an urban consultant with Mod Foundation, she worked closely with the State Government of Karnataka on mission projects that advocated for the regeneration and reimagination of environmental assets in the rapidly concretised city of Bengaluru.

Environment Agency
During her placement at the Environment Agency, Nisa worked with the Herts and North London Sustainable Places team. As a planning specialist, she primarily provided statutory advice at the intersection of environment and planning. She worked with councils, developers and stakeholders to ensure that projects, local policies and growth strategies protected the environment and supported sustainable development. Over the last year, she managed several planning applications along the River Thames and River Lea catchment areas to ensure that developments were compatible with their environmental assets.
