Khalif Koleoso

Place Shaping Officer

About

Khalif is an architect driven to design and create inclusive spaces that positively impact individuals and communities. Before joining the Spring Cohort 2024, he worked with various clients, primarily in the residential sector, including private developers, housing associations, and local authorities, creating several utility and sustainability engendering projects.

Khalif also worked with a non-profit organisation and collaborated with local stakeholders to transform under-utilised spaces into community-focused areas. His masters thesis focused on the impacts of rapid urbanisation on marginalised communities; it proposed strategies for policy implementation to improve the wellbeing and living conditions of members of these communities. Beyond architecture, Khalif is a digital artist, utilising his work to advocate for inclusivity and the importance of community.

Spring Cohort 2024

London Borough of Enfield

As part of our Spring Cohort 2024, Khalif worked as a Place-Shaping Officer within the Journeys and Places team at the London Borough of Enfield. His role was varied, with a strong focus on engaging local communities to understand their needs and aspirations and delivering projects that responded to them.

Through meaningful engagement, Khalif helped identify opportunities to address local challenges and developed targeted initiatives in response. Once a project was defined, he led on its delivery—managing it from conception to completion to ensure it met the community’s priorities effectively.
